APPLICATIONS NOW OPEN 

Ladder Art Space is situated close to Kew Junction, the Heart of Kew – a vibrant and busy shopping strip located in Melbourne’s inner eastern suburbs. Established in 2018, Ladder Art Space proudly exhibits the work of contemporary artists and designers in addition to offering art classes and workshops to the wider community. We aim to provide a friendly, professional and supportive environment to both new and established artists working in any media. Ladder Art Space is fully staffed, and artists are not required to gallery sit.


The gallery comprises four spaces, three spaces on ground level and one space upstairs, which can be utilised separately, or as one total space. The ground level has a ceiling height of 2.8m whilst the upstairs level has a ceiling height of 3.3m. Gallery 1, Gallery 3, and the entrance space provide ample space for large works. All gallery spaces have good natural light as well as an adjustable lighting system in Gallery 1 and Gallery 2.

Fees for Exhibitions in 2024

We’ve fine-tuned our strategy to ensure exhibition fees are within a reasonable range. Thanks to our thriving workshops, which attract a constant stream of attendees, we optimize costs, providing you with a cost-effective platform to showcase your art.

Commission:  %30 (plus GST=33%)

Fees for Exhibitions in the first half of 2025

The fee covers a 4-week (4 weekends) hire and installation inclusive of all services and support outlined before.

  • Install and de-install during gallery hours
  • Opening night on the first Thursday, 6:30-8:30 pm
    This is a shared opening event with other exhibitions in other gallery spaces.
